I teach social policy to social workers. I think a lot about how low-wage workers (and low-wage immigrant workers especially) can improve their working conditions. I spend a lot of time working with worker centers in Chicago. I'm starting to think about privatization and its effects on communities of color in Chicago. I'm a native New Yorker who's acculturated to Chicago.
